Alexander Bynum is Owner and Principal Broker of Wendell Alexander Realty located in Dresden and Martin in Weakley County, Tennessee.
In October 2020, Mr. Bynum accepted the role of 2021 President of the Tennessee Association of Realtors.
Mr. Bynum has been actively involved in the Tennessee Association of Realtors, previously serving as the 2018 Secretary of Treasury for TAR. As President, Mr. Bynum served as a voice for Tennessee's rural communities and rural Realtors.
Striving to be actively involved, Mr. Bynum serves as Director of the National Association of Realtors; Central West Tennessee Association of Realtors; Tennessee Realtors; a member of the Tennessee Real Estate Appraiser Commission; the University of Tennessee at Martin Town & Gown; The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Board of Directors; the Dresden Rotary Club; the Weakley County Economic Development Board; the 2021 Single Family Investment Management Committee; the 2020 Land Use Property Rights and Environment Committee: At-Large; and the Leaders Credit Union Northwest Tennessee Advisory Board.
Service by Mr. Bynum in official capacities has included membership on the 2020-21 UTM Athletics Advisory Board; former member of the University of Tennessee at Martin Skyhawk Club Board; 2018 Secretary of Treasury for Tennessee Association of Realtors; 2012-2013 President of the Reelfoot Regional Association of Realtors; 2016-2017 President of the Central West Tennessee Association of Realtors; service with the Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse; Past President of The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks; and graduate of Leadership Weakley County, Class of 2011.
Mr. Bynum is a member of the RPAC Hall of Fame and has received numerous honors, including the 2018 UT Martin Outstanding Young Alumni Award, the 2016 Tennessee Realtors Presidential Award, the 2016 Central West Tennessee Association of Realtors Presidential Award, the 2014 University of Tennessee at Martin Interfraternity Council Advisor of the Year Award, recognition as a 2012 National Association of Realtors 30 Under 30 Finalist, and the National Association of Realtors Political Action Committee (RPAC) Presidential Circle Golden R Investor designation.
Born and raised in Weakley County, Mr. Bynum is a 2006 graduate of Gleason High School. In 2009, he graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business. Mr. Bynum is married to Kate Moore Bynum, and together they have one daughter, Roane Alexandra.
His mission is to identify, relate to, encourage, equip, and work with community-minded people to help West Tennessee become a better place.
